A potpourri of delight!

Hi! You can call me Zuzu. I’m a forty-something woman living in beautiful Washington. I love sunshine, rainbows, cryptids (especially unicorns…not that that should be surprising), anything sparkly, the color orange, trying new foods, and cake. Cake and I have a love hate relationship…I love it, and it hates me, so we can’t really be friends anymore. I have a retro sense of fashion style and a quirky sense of everything else. Dresses make me ridiculously happy.

I have a full-time job in accounting (A career 20 year-old me picked because she knew I’d always be able to get a job), and I graduated in 2022 with my Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) with a focus on Business Leadership. My dissertation (about how leaders create cohesion in virtual teams through communication) was published, and I am nerdy enough to have hard-bound copies (queue the nerdy happy dancing).

This blog is really a mental health outlet for me. My therapist recommended I find a creative outlet for my thoughts and worries, so one of my best friends suggested I start blogging again. I suspect she wanted me to go back to blogging because she liked my old blog posts (see Old Blog section) and wants to read more. In this blog, you will find random thoughts and musings, poems, short stories, and maybe recipes (especially 30-minute meals), and discussions on topics such as communication, leadership, empathy, mental health, diabetes, and other random misadventures.

Like the title says,….a potpourri of delight! I hope you enjoy it!
